Violation on MetaMaquina 2 (RepRapII - Mendel modification) GPL'd printer 3D

Olá from Brasil.

A friend of me have problems with his MetaMaquina 2, that is a printer 3D (RepRapII - Mendel modification) that is lecesed with GPL 2[1] and is the only one 3D printer that you can buy here in Brasil. He's a 3D hacker and have seriosly problems to make it works what he wants. Printer is not working like RepRapII - Mendel, but there's no source code or documentation about this modification. He wrote emails to vendors, but no answer.

Can you help us? Thank you very much.

I would say that first it would be wise to verify if the software that
the company distributes with their equipement is indeed based on open
source components beyond doubt or proprietary.

After doing this step, there are more details and facts that help to
contact the manufacturers and explain why and where some of the open
source components that are used require (or not) the source code changes
to be released.

I can help with this analysis. Would you be so kind to provide me with a
private copy of the software that was distributed with the machine?

This way I can process the software to confirm (or not) that some of the
components are indeed GPL and how this might impact the product as a whole.

What exactly are you looking for? The Printer is not working like
RepRapII Mendel? What modification? It's a different printer based on the
same concept.
